Goodbye Dear Friend

17 Jun

If you have known me in the last four years, you have known my Nalgene water bottle: Raine. I love it. I drink 90% of my water from Raine. Why did I call it Raine? Well, I guess I went through a phase where I named all of my favorite things. My computer was Harry Potter (he’s dead, by the way), my camera was Mad-Eye Moody, and well, I think you get the idea. I’m a geek.

Well, I took Raine with me on my trip. Since I was flying home, I left it with my family to bring back. When I went home this weekend to get all the things I had forgotten I saw that Raine had been melted in our dishwasher. Although I mourn the loss of Raine, and resent the fact that I have to drink out of normal cups now, I was a little relieved. Lately I’ve been seeing some pretty cool water bottles around. And I’ve really wanted to buy one. But since I’m a devoted person, I would never do that. I’m a one water bottle at a time kind of gal.

So it looks like I’ll be water bottle shopping in the next day or two. When one phase of your life ends, you gotta just pick up the pieces and move on, eh?
